IPL sponsor withdrawal VIVO cricket board is going call tender

Vivo, a Chinese smartphone company, has withdrawn from the IPL as a sponsor for this year.

The board sealed the deal in Vivo as the IPL title sponsor.

 This was followed by a storm of criticism from various quarters.

Vivo withdrew from the IPL’s main sponsorship in less than two days.

Twenty Indian soldiers were killed in an Indo-Chinese clash on the Galwan border in eastern Ladakh.

Then came the call for a boycott of Chinese goods across the country.

Two-time digital strike on Beijing Delhi. Numerous Chinese apps banned.

At the time, the Indian Cricket Board, headed by Sourav Ganguly, had promised to look into the issue of Chinese sponsors.

But at last fix the day of the IPL, the Chinese mobile company Vivo was sealed in 180 degrees as the main sponsor.

Sources claim that even after the incident in East Ladakh, the announcement of Vivo’s name has caused anger within the IPL.

Several franchises voiced their protest against Vivo.

After discussing among themselves, the Chinese informed the IPL Governing Council of their decision against the mobile company.

Not just franchises, but a storm of protests against the IPL and Vivo erupted on social media.

A letter was sent to the Union Home Ministry protesting Vivo. After reading this news all Indians be happy.

According to an all-India daily, the Chinese mobile company has virtually withdrawn from the IPL for this year in the face of this pressure.

The Indian Cricket Board is now quite unscrupulous in their thinking.

Because in 2016, the Indian Cricket Board signed an agreement with a Chinese mobile company.

Vivo is the IPL title sponsor for a record five years. They pay Rs 440 crore to the board for IPL every year.

Which company would want to do such a huge amount of sponsorship in this cowardly crisis?

Board 6 must think about it Vivo has reportedly lost interest in the tournament’s title sponsorship since the IPL withdrew from India this year.

Vivo was also reluctant to pay for such a large amount of sponsorship in the recessionary market of COVID – 19.

All in all, the Chinese smartphone maker has stepped down from the IPL title sponsorship for this year.
